Press Wireless, Inc. (often referred to as "Pre-Wi") can fairly be thought of as the predecessor to The Technical Materiel Corporation, as TMC's founder Ray de Pasquale, and many of the engineers who would later produce TMC's products, worked at Press Wireless before and during WWII. These included Joe Toman, who joined TMC in 1952 and set up the company's first serious manufacturing system, and Tony Bernardi, TMC's first chief engineer.
