Neil de Pasquale, son of TMC's founder Ray de Pasquale, and president of the company from 1986 to the present, has kindly loaned me a huge stash of original TMC manuals. The objective of this project is to scan nearly all of the unique manuals and put them online for general use.

The following three links will take you to the manual scans:

Notes on using the manual stash:

How to navigate: Use the "find in page" (Ctrl-F) function of your browser to look for stuff. The titles are long, to provide a rich set of search terms! You can search the TMC manuals page by looking for the TMC type, description, military designation, or TMC document (IN-xxx) number, for example.
Big files: Some of the files are really HUGE, so you may want to note sizes before starting a dowload. For example, the two TM's for the GPT-2OOK total over 1.3 GB!
Big files 2: Did I mention that the files are HUGE? Most are scanned at 400 DPI. Figured I would only have enough energy to do this once, so might as well make this the "archival" pass. Internet speeds are going to get faster, and storage is going to get cheaper!

Streaking: some of the scans show some irritating streaks. If you find this bothersome, send me mail and I'll re-scan your favorite manual as time permits.
Mil manuals: Your favorite rig may have both a military and a commercial manual. Often the Mil manuals are a bit more complete. I haven't listed the Mil manuals in the "TMC manuals" page, so you'll have to look both there and on the Military manuals page. I'll fix this at some point..

While this collection of TMC manuals is large, it isn't complete. If you have manuals not listed on this site, please consider loaning them to me for scanning! I'll be gentle with them, and get 'em back to you promptly, all at my cost.

A Guide to "The Stash"

Below is a link to the spreadsheet I constructed to inventory the documents I received, sorted in a completely arbitrary order according to the 25 banker's boxes that hold the documents.

The next link may be more useful for searches, as it is sorted by TMC equipment type designation. The lines with gray texture are documents I planned to scan and add to this repository. Notes on how these scans were created

These manuals were scanned on a Ricoh Color Scanner IS760D. It's a remarkable instrument! It does full duplex scanning (both sides at once) with a very capable auto-feeder. Most of the documents were scanned at 400 DPI, 16-level gray, and output as 4-bit-gray PDF's with LZW compression. This choice turned out to be a good one for text and line drawings, not so great for half-tone images. As time allows, I'll go back and rescan some of the equipment half-tone pictures with the scanner configured for gray-scale--this produces far better renderings of half-tones, but leaves a bit to be desired for text/graphics.
